A Glimpse into an Anxious Mind

A Glimpse into an Anxious Mind

Scroll Down Scroll Down

1.

For most people, a quiet mind is a noun. For me it is a doing word.

2.

All my life, I thought the language of the mind constantly moves, grows, feeds on itself. I believed everybody had a mind so busy it was capable of sickening the body. Until I learnt the language for it. Spiraling.

3.

I have learnt the art and science of tracking the movement of my thoughts, of asking why and how and when and what. In this way, I am able to catch thoughts before they run so fast that they fly away with me.

4.

It is okay to ask for help when things are too overwhelming.

It is okay to ask for help when things are too overwhelming.

It is okay to ask for help when things are too overwhelming.

It is okay to ask for help when things are too overwhelming.

It is okay to ask for help when things are too overwhelming.

It is okay to ask for help when things are too overwhelming.

It is okay to ask for help when things are too overwhelming.

It is okay to ask for help when things are too overwhelming.

It is okay to ask for help when things are too overwhelming.

It is okay to ask for help when things are too overwhelming.

5.

I refuse to let my mind cripple me. I accept it for what it is and by surrendering to acceptance, there is a quiet I am learning to get used to.

6.

You are not alone.

You are not alone.

You are not alone.

You are not alone.

You are not alone.

You are not alone.

You are not alone.

You are not alone.

You are not alone.

You are not alone.

7.

For those who understand what it is like, I wish you all the best in managing it. For those who do not, I hope you have learnt something.

8.

Some days are really hard, but those days keep reducing the more I learn about my mind, and the more I let people in to help where they can.

9.

I am grateful for the journey back to self.
